Katawa Shoujo is the dream, the crystallization of the hopes of many otaku boys around the globe. Feeling lost and miserable because his love life is a mess at such a young age, Hisao quickly finds companionship and a reason to look forward. In the hospital, they tell him he is suffering from arrhythmia, a chronic heart disease that randomly causes his heart’s pulsations to become erratic, and for that reason, his worried parents send him to a school for physically disabled students. Cock-blocked by that old blood pump, talk about irony, huh? Unfortunately, that’s when normality comes crashing down, because, as the girl is fervently declaring her love, he feels his body heating up and his heart fails. Hisao is a normal high school student that gets a love letter and decides, obviously, to assist the summon. If you like a good challenge, Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius is godsent, and you can treat yourself to some hentai scenes to celebrate your skills. Unfortunately-or fortunately, depending on your vision-the gameplay is harsh, as it requires almost legendary min-maxing skills, as choosing the wrong upgrade for your ship and mechas at the wrong point of the story can make it impossible to finish the game. In other words, you take an active role, with all other aspects, especially hentai scenes, taking a backseat. Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius is a turn-based RPG space opera, which means that besides making choices on your path through your grand quest, you must also do your best to strategically win your battles. Armed only with his recently christened ship, the Sunrider, and his snarky but gold-hearted First official, Kayto’s new goal is getting new allies through the starry seas and building a crew strong enough to save his planet and bring hope and peace to the galaxy.
The recently graduated Captain Kayto Shields has to maneuver his way to survival, as his home planet is utterly obliterated by an evil interplanetary empire with aspirations of ending all known life.
